How did I grow my resilience? • I networked with people outside of my immediate organization, and with various leaders within engineering sharing my capabilities and thoughts around upcoming technologies and current trends. • I joined the Women’s Engineering Society as a member and volunteered as a County Cluster Coordinator (2017-2022), Directors Committee (2020-Current) and the Early Careers Board (2019-Current). Being a member of these groups has empowered my decision making for both my career path and daily role. • I started my own award-winning business to provide resources and support for the special education sector and won the Social Impact Award for the FLARE Ignite challenge 2021. • I diversified my skillset by switching from working on traditional internal combustion engines with V8/V12 configurations, to optimizing Hydrogen Fuel Cell applications for a more sustainable future. That is only a short summary of some of the activities I have carried out. Ultimately, I apply the saying - “Be the change you wish to see”. I continue to build on my expertise, and have a wealth of experience in Automotive, Motorsport and Test & Development. More recently I am specializing in Transport Energy Systems for my daily role. In summary, I am passionate about the automotive industry and how transport energy systems continue to become more sustainable, affordable, inclusive and accessible to our communities.
