Krista Pierce’s Expertise I started with Georgia Power Company in 1999 as a Customer Service Representative in the Valdosta, Ga business office. We handled everything from bill payments, service orders, and miscellaneous billing questions from customers both in the office and over the phones thru our Virtual Call Center. After 7 years in that position, I was given the opportunity to move into the Sales and Marketing Department as the Administrative Specialist for the South Region Sales team. My primary duty was to support the Area Sales Manager, but I also assisted the team with their expense statements, point of contact if a team member was out of office, and any other needs that would arise. During that time, I was given a chance to cross train as a Key Account Support Representative. In that role, I supported two Key Account Managers ( large industrial customers) with billing estimates, assisted at meetings with customers, served as primary contact for KAM if out of office, and assisted with on call for any outages that affected our key customers. After six years with the Sales team, I took my current position, Volunteer Services Representative. Volunteer Services oversees the community outreach for the entire company thru both employees and retirees. I am the coordinator for our retiree group, Ambassadors. I handle the day to day needs statewide for our 19 chapters. I produce reports for our manager on their membership numbers and service hours quarterly which are presented to Executive Management in their meetings. I also coordinate three major events for our chapters. The first one is Workshop where all incoming Chapter Presidents meet for a two day training event. The second is our Annual Retreat at Saint Simons Island in April. Then our last event is Annual Board meeting in November where all the year’s accomplishments are recognized. I also assist our employee group, Citizens of Georgia Power when needed and at special events.
