Specialties: Single cell analysis, single cell sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, spatial genomics, nanotechnology, cell adhesion, cell migration, chemical biology, chemical engineering, surface engineering, biomaterials, cancer metastasis, cancer biology, assay design, scientific communication Skills: • 10 years of research experience in chemical biology and bioengineering: Focused on single cell analysis, spatial transcriptomics, cancer metastasis, cell migration and cellular mechanics • Management and leadership of multiple interdisciplinary collaborative projects at once • Scientific writing, presentation, teaching and grant development/writing • Assay development and implementation: Complex in vitro single cell assay development for basic research and drug evaluation • Cellular imaging: Immunohistochemistry, widefield, confocal, total internal reflectance (TIRF), magnetic and live-cell microscopy • Aseptic technique and culture of a variety of cell types (including human induced pluripotent stem cells and using challenging 2D/3D culture formats) • Cellular reporting assays: GFP lines, flow cytometry and nanoparticle-based assays • High-throughput techniques: Liquid handling, plate-based optical/fluorescent analysis and imaging • Protein characterization (particularly Western blot of complex samples) • Materials/polymer characterization: AFM, SEM, XPS, SIMS, RBS, and ATR-FTIR • Surface engineering: Microcontact printing, nanopatterning, soft lithography, self-assembled monolayer use, high vacuum system design and use, e-beam metal deposition
