During my time as a Paramedic, I witnessed first hand some of the obstacles patients are faced with when navigating their own wellness. With all that I gained during my time at WCU, both academically and personally, I feel more well equipped with tools to collaborate with other organizations and industries to help create health equity for all. What works for one may not work for all. My coursework at WCU was strong in developing my written and verbal communication. More importantly, I enjoyed the Indigenous education I received at WCU. In grade school I never felt a connection with any information taught in standard history classes, that has changed. I loved learning accurate historical knowledge of tribes across North American. The thought of returning to WCU to pursue a higher degree in history is something I've considered since graduating in 2021. Along with my communication degree, I am also comfortable with my Canon DSLR camera. I've spent approximately 10 years working in photography.
