Some of my interests and hobbies include spending time with family and friends. I also use to dance all through elementary till my junior year of high school. I used to be in a private dance competitive company. In my family, there are a lot of teachers and professors. I was the oldest cousin in my family so for family events I was the all the kid's babysitter and would always be taking care of them. I loved it so much and adored kids. From there, I wanted to keep working with children and decided to pursue a career in education. Seeing them grow and learn is rewarding for me because I get to be a part of their educational experience. I wanted to become an Early Childhood Education teacher because I enjoy guiding my students and witnessing their improvements. It is incredible how much you can learn from them also. My future plans after college are to become a teacher in an elementary school or work as an RBT in a clinic. I am in my Junior year of college, in my third semester of the bachelor’s program. I came from MDC this semester and am now here at FIU in the bachelor's program. I adore teaching and being with kids. Seeing them grow and learn is so beautiful and very fulfilling. I hope my room looks very inviting, engaging, fun, and comfortable for all students. The values that I will incorporate in my future room are honesty, manners, responsibility, respect, love, consideration, and lastly perseverance. I understand that I play a formative role in my students’ lives and must model the values that I want them to inherit. I love the idea of the child doing hands-on activities and learning to do things on their own. I also plan to provide a helping hand when needed. I am currently a teacher at Kids for Kids Academy. I have been there for about one year now. I have been working in early childhood since 2016 and have loved it so far.
