It was only after visiting rural communities in Mexico, Cuba, Peru and several settlements in the West Bank of Israel that I learned how unreliable power is to many parts of the world. Graduating from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, my passion for the power industry was fueled. Upon graduating the university system, I joined POWER Engineers completing system studies and protective relaying consulting across North America for major utilities; Duke Energy, NextEra, Oncor and AEP to name a few. Concurrently, I have taken my experiences and lessons learned to build a small scale microgrid for my own personal use. Finally, with the experience and knowledge I have gained, I have partnered with like minded people to bring reliable energy to the same communities that I had discovered at a younger age through a volunteer program I have co-founded, NanoGrid Solutions.
