I taught courses ranging from high-school level algebra, trigonometry, and statistics to college-credit calculus and differential equations as well as college algebra and college trigonometry. I have taught in the classroom, online and through one-on-one instruction. Over the past nearly 30 years, my efforts as an educator have helped me hone not only my mathematics acumen, but also my skills in affective communication (with administrators and parents). In 2016, I began to think about what I want to do once I finish my career in education. During this time, my desire to further my skills, broaden my knowledgebase, and embark upon a challenging, rewarding career as an actuarial analyst developed. While working full time, I have achieved passing scores in SOA Exams P (Probability), FM (Financial Mathematics), and IFM (Investment and Financial Markets). My interests include financial analysis, forecasting, cash flows, and profit and loss components, bond pricing, and conditions, and balance sheet analysis. And, while I may not have direct experience in the industry, my intelligence, education, and desire (and ability) to learn will be a huge asset to the company where I land next.
