Laura Kennedy’s Expertise Responsible for managing all aspects of digital marketing for Princess Cruises in the UK including: Email, Paid search, Display, Affiliates, social media (both paid and organic) and SEO to drive traffic to princess.com and working with the web team in the US for any content updates required.Planning and implementing digital marketing campaigns to drive traffic to the Simplyhealth website and convert visits into sales of our health insurance products. Working with our digital agency to drive sales through PPC, SEO, affiliate marketing, display advertising and blogger outreach programmes, as well as targeted email campaigns to both existing and prospect customers. Using the content management system to make content updates to the website and set up landing pages for our integrated marketing campaigns.Simplyhealth is a leading health insurance provider and my role as marketing executive is to carry out direct marketing campaigns in order to generate new business and achieve growth targets. This involves liaising with the design studio to create artwork; managing data for targeting the right consumer; and organising print and mailing schedules. Every campaign is then analysed in detail to measure its success in various aspects such as response rate, average value generated and cost per sale and I constantly test different creative ideas and data selections with the aim of maximising each of these measures for each campaign. I help manage the direct marketing budget, ensuring all campaigns are delivered within their planned costs and have recently been involved with forecasting the 2014 budget for both projected spend and sales. I also work closely with our telesales department, providing outbound leads and helping them meet sales targets, and other areas of the business such as digital, brand and PR to ensure consistency across our messaging.Ministry of Fish is a creative marketing agency specialising in design, digital and print solutions for a range of clients in industries such as pharmaceuticals, FMCG and Technology. My role as an account executive is to liaise with various clients and work with studio designers, to manage the creation and production of marketing materials. This has given me experience of the agency side of marketing and developed further my skills in communication, organisation and creativity. I have also gained knowledge of using social networking as a marketing tool which is an area that interests me in a time where digital marketing is rapidly growing.For the third year of my degree I worked in the marketing department of a global pharmaceutical company. This placement has been really valuable to me; giving me the chance to apply the marketing theory I have studied, as well as helping me discover my own strengths and weaknesses in a working environment. Key projects: • Streamlined nurse training process- adapted internal operating procedure to make it more efficient. Presented new process to a team of sales representatives with positive feedback. Used initiative and team working skills as well as improving presentation skills. • Co-organised internal celebration- worked with an external agency to plan and organise details of an internal corporate event. Improved organisation and communication skills and provided a chance to show creativity. • Marketing materials- Worked with designers to produce several printed materials aimed at customers, as well as materials to aid sales representatives. Improved communication and negotiation skills, both with the design agency and the cross-functional team approving the materials for use. • Website editing- Editing and updating a Lilly website aimed at healthcare professionals. Had to be a quick learner to get to grips with the content management system as well as showing an existing knowledge of computing skills.
