Troubleshoot vehicle and equipment malfunctions and assist in correcting malfunctions in a timely manner from the office and in the field I also investigate and document accidents and other service disruptions, assist in coordination of temporary service around disruption events, communicate to passengers and other agencies when there is disruption to service and determine whether bus bridging is necessary or normal service may be resumed. Carry out the City’s safety program for the unit, ensure staff follow safety practices in work methods and procedures, educate assigned personnel of rules, regulations, codes, safe work habits and potential hazards presented by their work environment complete accident reports and investigates risk claims. Respond to evening or weekend operational problems or emergencies as required. I have a TSSP Certificate from the Transit Security Institute and a DSSPT certification from the State of Oregon.
