Leanne Muffet’s Expertise Founder and Director of Strategic Matters Leanne Muffet, is a strategist, a highly skilled facilitator and an award winning project manager. Her work enables people to make things happen. Whether working with Executive Directors, politicians, board members, emerging leaders, enthusiastic project officers, or communities of interest, she designs methods and tools that make it easy for people to imagine the doing. Her work has been described as ‘transformative’. Examples of her work include working for the Deputy Prime Ministers’ office for three years as Project Director for an ambitious $12 million sustainability program; taking a ‘break even’ social justice breakfast event to a profit in two years; and coordinating 11 local government municipalities to prepare for predicted climate change along the River Murray. Best known for work in strategic planning, engagement, leadership and governance, Leanne brings depth, energy and intellectual rigour to discussions. Her leadership skills have resulted in numerous committee and board appointments. Leanne proficiencies include a strong working knowledge of the environmental sector acquired both from a policy and content perspective. She has written on natural resources and water quality management; the Circular Economy; Co-design; and corporate governance. Leanne's work has been recognised through four awards from the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) and a commendation from the International Association of Public Participation. Leanne’s key qualifications are an award-winning Social Sciences Honour degree (Geography and Psychology), graduation from the Governor’s Leadership Foundation (2004) and a Diploma of Sustainability (2013), including studies in carbon accounting. She aims to achieve traction through co-design and strong governance, to connect people and process on all projects.
