  I am a recent graduate in Economics from the University of Birmingham, with a particular interest in education and international development. I have a place on the Leadership Development Programme with Teach First starting in 2017, as educational disadvantage is something I feel strongly about and wish to go some way to alleviating. Looking beyond Teach First I have an interest in the role of educational policy within international development. Having maintained a part-time tutoring job alongside my studies, I feel that I have excellent time management skills and interpersonal skills developed through working with a variety of ages and backgrounds. Through my additional university involvement, I have used my organisational skills to aid working in a team environment whilst also adopting a certain level of personal responsibility. I am a strong believer that the world we live in today is highly interconnected and is better for it, and I would love to be part of connecting us further in a positive and enriching way. For me there is nothing more important than working as a globalised society, rather than looking at the world through one pair of eyes.
