I had worked my way up to lead the Cheese division at the time and was always frustrated by market research suppliers who presented insights around a project (and often never clearly) but never really what to do with them. I saw this as a gap in the market and I decided to do something about it. So, I founded Explorer in 2003. My company vision was driven by 3 core tenets: [1] make sure we always do great quality research, [2] use methods and tech to help deliver the deepest insights possible, [3] and always have our research findings tell a clear story with strong strategic implications. We have found these principles to be timeless and central to our company’s success over the years. Today I am proud to be part of a shopper research agency that client’s see as being excellent in what we do and true strategic partners. My job with the team is to help set a path that will continue to drive this success. That is why I am a fanatic about understanding shopper behavior and how it can be applied to the rapidly changing retail store environment (store of the future) and the metaverse.
