She enjoys gardening, exploring the Twin Cities, playing cards/games, reading, open air music concerts and meeting up with friends. In her personal life, she is often known as the connector. Whether it be connecting individuals to community resources or to each other after long absences. Genealogy is a passion, connecting long lost family members to each other. There is a saying in genealogy, “A genealogist disturbs the dead and irritates the living.” When researching a social issue to find new ideas and solutions, one can both disturb the status quo and irritate others who would make the changes. Connecting can be tricky at times, however, with a good plan and “Plan B” strategies, solutions for the unknown challenges are possible.
