Education is a powerful tool that can enable someone to elevate their knowledge and mindset. Throughout my various experiences in the public education system from kindergarten to obtaining my Master's degree, I have seen countless inequities and injustices occur. My experiences as a student rather than a parent or staff member gives me a unique perspective that has been an asset to the school district I currently serve on, which has made strides in providing more equitable educational experiences for all our students and supporting our staff and families.
