In 1999, Mariano and his team started the consolidation of all O2C transactions in two Pan-European CoE ( Centers of Excellence ) supporting EMEA countries. One CoE Located in Madrid -Spain and the other in Bratislava- Slovakia with more than 2000 Employees. In February of 2003, Mariano became the Vice President of EMEA- Customer Support Operations , Most recently, in December of 2009, as a result of the IBM expansion into the Emerging markets, Mariano has been deeply involved in the IBM geographic Expansion in MEA Countries with Africa and as focus, deploying the Order to Cash processes in the countries where IBM is creating New Subsidiaries . As of November of 2012, after 38,5 years of Service in IBM, Mariano has decided to retire from being and Active IBM Employee. Mariano lives in Madrid ( Spain ) with his wife and two Children.
