Maribel Miranda-Pinto’s Expertise She has a PhD in Education Sciences, in the area of knowledge of Information and Communication Technologies, from the University of Minho, since 2009. She has a Postdoctoral in Educational Technology at the Institute of Education of the University of Minho, with the project Kids Media Lab: Technologies and Learning Programming in Preschool Age, completed in 2019. Concludes in July 2021 the post-graduation "The Tufts Early Childhood Technology (ECT) Certificate Program" from Tufts Graduate School Of Arts And Sciences - Tufts University (Boston-USA). And did a Postgraduate Diploma in Multimedia in Education from the University of Aveiro, where she also obtained a Degree in Early Childhood Education. Currently (Since September 2022) she is an Assistant Professor at the Education and Distance Learning Department of Universidade Aberta. She was Professor in Higher Education in the area of Information and Communication Technologies, in the Department of Communication and Art, in the School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu since 2009 and until August 2022. She is a Researcher integrated in CIEd of the Institute of Education of the University of Minho, since 2005. She is currently coordinating the KML2 project - Laboratory of Technologies and Learning Programming for Pre-school and 1st Cycle of Basic Education in Portugal, a consortium with several higher education institutions in Portugal (https://www.nonio.uminho.pt/kml2) for the triennium 2018-2022. She is a trainer in the area of ICT and Educational Technology, since 2005 and collaborates with several institutions in teacher training. She has published books, several book chapters, articles in magazines and communications in international and national conferences. She is a pedagogical consultant in the area of educational robotics for the company Clementoni Portugal, for which she carries out research and specialised activities, since 2017. She belongs to several scientific committees of international journals and international and national conferences, with whom she collaborates in the evaluation of scientific articles. He is interested in the area of technologies in education, computational thinking, programming and educational robotics in the early years of schooling in formal and informal learning contexts.
