There were countless weekends where I would run around racks, do homework in the office, and argue with my brothers on social media best practices (ah, the teenage years). I was so sure in college I'd be dedicating my life to this small family business - but things changed. I learned so much, met so many interesting people, and I was hungry for knowledge but felt like there were not enough hours in the day for me to do it all! During that time I realized I had a passion for the marketing side of the business and was eager to get started on brands I knew and loved. Much to everyone's surprise, I started my career selling beer in San Diego for Constellation Brands; it was well-known that I did not drink alcohol and I hated the beach and summer days. I wouldn't say it was easy jumping in, but I knew it was essential for me to understand where to go next in my career. I learned so much about branding, communication, and relationship building while building love and pride for the brands I was working with! When I transitioned to licensing and promotions, I knew I found my sweet spot: the intersection of business, psychology, and brand building I was looking for. Frankly, I knew nothing of the licensing world when I first started but I was ready to learn and not afraid of any challenge thrown my way. I've had immense joy working with my team and leading brand collaborations, retail licensing, sports sponsorship, and craft beer merch. I am looking forward to learning more about brand building and innovation. I'm currently looking into the GMAT to further expand my skills and knowledge in the industry and to promote my career. When I'm not looking into the GMAT, you can find me browsing Skillshare or YouTube for the countless hobbies I have started and hope to master with a cup (or two) of coffee nearby.
