  I am currently blessed to be working at Highline Medical Center in the Emergency Department. I had no idea how much there was to learn in the ED! I love it. I am so passionate about nursing because it connects my past experiences, my passions, and my mission in life while encompassing the beliefs, values, and desires I have that give me a deep sense of purpose and meaning. My short term career goals as a RN are to continue to gain experience at the bedside, become CRRN certified, participate in medical mission work overseas, precept or become a clinical instructor at local nursing school, actively participate in a nursing research project, and work individually or collectively through political action to bring about social change in our health care reform. My long term goals are to direct or lead medical mission teams to third world countries, become a nurse practitioner, open a free wellness center focused on prevention in my local community, perform my own nursing research, and become a nursing professor.
