Owned, led and implemented the following at American Family Insurance: ~ Electronification of Payments - led the shift from 80% paper checks to 80% electronic payments saving millions of dollars and retaining multitudes of customers in the process ~ Online Billing – reduced paper notices mailed and paper checks processed by nearly 250,000 per month, saving close to 2 million per year ~ Pay by Phone – gave payers easy accessibility while migrating them from paper checks to ACH payments with a 75% reduction in cost per payment ~ Electronic Bill Payment Consolidator – created choice and convenience with this migration to our highest customer retention and least expense payment method ~ Electronic Data Interchange for Third Party Interests – went from large list bills and checks to electronic payment streams that reduced float, bank fees and processing costs ~ Life New Business Payments – provided ease and usefulness to our customers and agents in the field and reduced the cost of processing down payments ~ Remittance Processing (WAUSAU Financial Systems) and Billing (Guidewire) software/hardware upgrades with Image Exchange and Accounts Receivable Conversion – 100% electronic transmission to the bank with a 70% reduction in bank fees ~ Internal Collection Process – developed automation that led to some of the highest recovery percentages in the insurance industry
