Mark Butler’s Expertise Let me begin by saying that I LOVE the working with my global partner(s)! I enjoy collaboratively helping them DRIVE demand, SOLIDIFY account control and INCREASE their revenues! I have a different perspective than most after spending almost 11 years in field sales with a value-added reseller before transitioning into channel sales. That perspective has given me a deeper understanding of selling and industry related challenges that my channel partners could likely face and also how to handle them. Taking this perspective one step further... Not only do I have experience selling direct to end-users, but I also have Channel Management experience with both a smaller niche manufacturer like Psion AND a large market leader like Zebra. While there are some similarities in how to help grow my channel partners business between both types of organizations, there are also radical differences. It is important to understand the differences of each partner. Partners vary when it comes to marketing knowledge, technical skills, selling readiness and available resources. My goal is to leverage their strengths to increase revenues for all sides. Being channel partner focused, some of my specialties include: • Collaborative marketing and demand generation strategies • Competitive differentiation • Strategic positioning • Partner onboarding and training • Business development • Compelling subject line and email messaging • Voicemail best practices that intrigue prospects • Multi-Vendor Selling • Developing a “So What” message that appeals to my reseller partner base which one that they can modify and use themselves w/ end-users
