He is currently the CEO of Empyrion Digital, a Private Capital funded, Singapore headquartered, sustainability-focused data centre developer and operator focused on providing a leading digital infrastructure platform across Asia Pacific and Japan serving the needs of global and regional customers. As the inaugural CEO, Mark has hired the leadership team from the ground up and is intimately involved in capital raising, debt financing, strategy, corporate development, site selection & acquisition, M&A, data centre construction & operations, sales & marketing, customer success and human talent development. Under his helm, Empyrion Digital has acquired an operating asset in Singapore and is currently building a new data centre in Seoul. Prior to Empyrion Digital, Mark was the Regional Vice President of Digital Realty where he led the company’s sales strategy and execution in Asia Pacific and Japan covering hyperscale, scale, enterprise colocation and interconnection customers. In addition, he was a core member of the leadership team responsible for site selection and acquisition of land and assets as part of Digital Realty's rapid expansion in the region. Mark has also held regional leadership positions with top technology companies including Equinix, Oracle and Cisco. His diverse management experience has provided Mark with a broad knowledge of cloud and software technologies including SaaS/PaaS/IaaS, Security, Storage and Data Management across key industries such as Data Centres, Financial Services, Telecommunications, Government, Education and Healthcare. Mark is passionate about transforming businesses in adapting to new paradigms, advising customers on their multi-cloud and digital transformation strategies, advising investors on their private capital strategies, and leading, mentoring and motivating teams in achieving beyond their career and personal goals.
