  One thing I have learned from my career so far is - communication is my greatest tool. It is this tool that I use in my current role to ensure: - My Clients understand that they have been heard, and understand the next steps in the installation process - My Technicians on the field know what goals they need to achieve (and what I need to do for them to succeed) - My HR Team know who to incentivise and when, to ensure hard workers grow into well trained and appreciated bad asses - My Direct Team (other Coordinators and Construction Support) know exactly what needs to be done, how to approach it and by when so we can all sleep well at night! Communication is the key tool that allows us to build and convey relationships and deep meaning between individuals, which is why it is at the top of my list of skills - I LOVE DOING THIS! It never used to be like this. I remember starting as an administration assistant many years ago, when I needed to pick up the phone to someone for the first few (hundred) times; mobile phone shaking in my hands as I stuttered through the word-for-word script I was reciting. I thought "I will never get better at this", "I will never not be nervous picking up that phone, or greeting that person." Since then, I have come leaps and bounds ahead, having difficult professional conversations via email, phone and in-person with clients, architects, builders and developers - dealing with complex issues including several stakeholders, and guiding all through the lift installation and ongoing maintenance processes at Lift Shop. I still have far to go - but I look forward to growing this extremely important skill to benefit both the companies and (more importantly) the people I get the opportunity to work with and for.
