Mark Miranda’s Expertise For 20 years, I served in the U.S. Army as a Public Affairs Specialist, with my early years as a combat correspondent producing photos and news releases. As a noncommissioned officer I moved to the media relations side, also working in supervisory positions until retiring from the military in 2020. I am currently in a teaching certification (K-6) program through the Indiana University School of Education (via IUPUI). This coming August I will be going through a student teaching experience that will take me to the end of 2023, my placement is TBD. At my job as an Instructional Assistant, I work with special education students in 6th grade. My plan is to return to this work after student teaching as I look over study materials for Praxis. My goal is to begin teaching by late summer 2024. My hobbies include spending time with my family, watching Chicago and Indianapolis teams, playing guitar, TV/Movies and road trips to new places.
