From the trenches -- getting my hands directly on to the hardware or digging into the minutia of application configuration -- up to a bird's-eye view of the existing infrastructure to see what is working and what needs improvement or even replacement. My day-to-day life has revolved around computers and technology since I was a young lad programming on a kit computer that saved to an audio cassette recorder. I went online before most people knew there was an online world, connecting via 300 baud modem to dozens of local bulletin board systems. I was the kid that got more excited about installing the newest version of Windows than I did about the next big sporting event. I've used everything from MS-DOS up through Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016, Apple System 6 up through Mac OS Sierra. I pride myself on knowing what came before, what is current, and where technology will and/or should go next. I researched, installed, configured and now support a Windows Active Directory environment including multiple site-to-site VPN connections for a multi-store retail company. I am solely in charge of all computer and technology decisions at this company and have been for eight years. My customers are both internal and external, and I strongly believe that I provide the top-level of support to all of them.
