Marne Murphy’s Expertise I have been in the Aviation Customer Service position since 1991, where I started at Morris Airlines here in Salt Lake City. My manager noticed my customer service skills right away and promoted me to a supervisor within the first year of my employment. I fell in love with the aviation industry at the age of 21. I realized that Aviation is where I belong, it is home to me and I'm still stary-eyed. I moved over to America West Airlines in 1995, and excelled in customer satisfaction in all areas, including oversells, delays and cancellations. Anyone that has been at the airport during a delay or cancellation should be able to appreciate my skills!! I also shined as a Customer Service Representative at Million Air/TacAir by being the ONE agent to CONSISTENTLY receive complimentary letters from our customers. I am passionate about customer service; It is important to me to learn customers names, learn their likes and dislikes, so I can anticipate their needs. I respect the customer, I'm honest with them, and see the transaction through to the very end. I take responsibility for my mistakes, I don't blame fellow co-workers or management for any service short-comings. I was constantly asked to provide customer service training to my fellow representatives, and was highly praised in my yearly reviews for how I interacted with our customers. I believe consistency and recurrent training is key, also, taking care of the customers while keeping in mind the bottom line of the company. I am also proficient in researching and reconciling fuel invoices. I had also excelled in calling customers who left without payment, and collected those funds. I have excellent office skills, Microsoft Windows, Outlook, some experience with Excel, handling multiple phone lines and 10-Key. I have worked in aviation-based programs, both Shares and Sabre, as well as TFBO.
