We are also the founders of “The World With MNR," a non-profit organization which uses advocacy, storytelling and development to take action for Climate Justice, Gender Equality and Inclusivity. Our activism began when we were eight-years-old, visiting a girls' government school in our village in Pakistan that our grandmother had donated the land to build. We have spoken at conferences internationally about our work, and are really passionate about making the world a better place. Some of our work includes our interviews with Nobel-Peace Prize winner Malala Yousufzai and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for the MalalaFund. We also advocated for the need to invest in girls' education at the G7 Finance and Development Ministers' meetings last year. We interviewed and spoke with world leaders including CEO of the World Bank Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the IMF Christine Lagarde, and Canadian Finance Minister, Bill Morneau. In 2018, we became filmmakers for Disney and the UN Girl Up Campaign’s “Dream Big Princess” project, and helped raise 1 million dollars for Girl Up in this process. Our activism has led us to receiving the Governor General's Caring Canadian Award (now the Sovereign's Medal for Volunteers) along with the Being ME Rising Muslimah award and the Canada 150 Youth Champion award by MP Celina. Furthermore, we have been featured in the Toronto Star, the Globe and Mail, India Today, Yahoo News and more because of our efforts to make a difference.
