Matt Bacon’s Expertise I joined Insight in June 2007 as the MDS Controller within the Procurement team looking after all the direct to client hardware shipments and started the role having very little knowledge of how the IT services & solutions business worked as a whole. The past 8 years have taught me a great deal about the industry, I have learned a lot and progressed within the business. I continued the role of MDS controller along with my learning until August 2011. I progressed within the department after working as and gaining experience in Category, Cisco, Netherlands hardware and Special Bid Buying roles and now have a more profound knowledge and outlook of the industry as a whole. My most recent and present role is Special Bid Buyer for Lenovo where I am currently expanding my knowledge and learning every day. I feel I have excellent communications skills and am always here to help our sales teams to the best of my ability. I am always available to support the business and the people where I can and when I don’t have the time, I make it. Our sales teams are my clients. We have a very strong relationship with all our distributors in the procurement team and I always make an effort with my suppliers to maintain a top level, hard working relationship in which we can grow and improve the business together. I am a very proud hard worker and feel that you get out of life what you put in.
