Matt Bell’s Expertise Experienced Senior Analyst with a demonstrated history of working in the government administration industry. Strong research professional skilled in Policy Analysis, Microsoft Excel, Analytical Skills, Microsoft Word, and Economic Research. (That is LinkedIn's automatically-generated description of me. For a little bit more detail, I've added the following below). I have built up a fair degree of knowledge, both in terms of modelling and policy, particularly in the areas of welfare, public pensions, tax and Crown accounts. I have worked for twenty-five years in mathematical modelling, particularly in the areas of fiscal and economic projections and micro simulation modelling. I have either built or extensively modified most of the New Zealand Treasury's main macro-level fiscal models, including the Long-Term Fiscal Model, the Fiscal Strategy Model, and the New Zealand Superannuation Fund model (see links to all three below). I have written a number of papers that are available on the Treasury website, including Golden Years - Understanding the New Zealand Superannuation Fund that has also been placed on the Victoria University of Wellington website. I would like to advance my career so am open to hearing about new job opportunities.
