Matt Gooderson’s Expertise Matt Gooderson is a visionary leader in the realm of education, creativity and technology, committed to inspiring innovation and transforming educational landscapes. Raised by a teacher and a social worker, and with a profoundly disabled sister (Sara), who communicated through music, Matt learned early on the transformative power of creativity. Despite the challenges posed by dyslexia, Matt’s determination led him to complete his degree and realise his dream of touring the world with his award winning electronic band Infadels, sharing stages with iconic acts such as The Prodigy, Faithless, and The Chemical Brothers, performing over 500 shows in 20 countries and achieving a number one dance album. Motivated by Sir Ken Robinson’s influential discourse on creativity in education, Matt pursued a master's degree and subsequently published his work on creative processes with Routledge. Currently, Matt is a Senior Lecturer at the University for the Creative Arts, where he pioneers creative and entrepreneurial practices. His work emphasises promoting equality, diversity, and inclusivity through innovative programs and real-world assessments. Previously, as the Course Leader for Music at the University of Westminster, Matt’s leadership and vision reshaped the curriculum and inspired countless students such as Bree Runway, Jess Glynne and Lorraine James through there leadership of a large team of academics. As a researcher, Matt explores the synergy between artificial intelligence and music production, pushing the boundaries of how technology can augment the creative process. His insights and expertise are regularly sought after in academic publications and industry forums. Beyond academia, Matt’s prolific career as a music producer, songwriter, composer, remixer, and performer has seen him perform at London’s prestigious South Bank Centre, with his music featured in shows on BBC, Netflix and films by A24 productions.
