Matt Jaeger’s Expertise I am compassionate and dedicated to aviation having worked in the industry for over 25 years. My career started by pumping gas and washing airplanes and progressed to flight instruction and corporate operations. I attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and earned a BS in Electrical Engineering and a commission in the Air Force. After excelling and graduating #1 in my class in pilot training I traveled Germany to fly the C-21. As a C-21 Instructor and Evaluator, I provided safe, guaranteed transportation to our nation's leaders in Europe, Africa and the Middle-East. My dedication to safety and customer service ensured every passenger, from the emergency medivac patient to the highest-ranking general received a safe and reliable flight every time. I then transitioned to the C-5 Galaxy. Now the mission was to provide the war-fighter vital supplies safely and on time. My selfless service throughout multiple theaters of war was recognized by the Air Force. I was awarded two Meritorious Service Medals, two Air Medals, one Aerial Achievement Medal and the Flying Safety Officer of the Year award while serving as a C-5 Instructor. In recognition of my enthusiastic service, I become an Evaluator Pilot and helped lead the team to bring the new C-5M to the fight. I worked with Lockheed engineers and flew countless hours to create a new training program for the C-5, ensuring safe, knowledgeable and dedicated pilots for decades to come. I then continued my service in the prestigious 89th Airlift Wing where I flew the Vice President, SecState, SecDef, First Lady, CJCS, and other Cabinet Officials in Gulfstream aircraft around the world. It was a humbling responsibility to be charged with the well-being of our Nation's leaders. I truly honed my skills in personalized, compassionate service. My hard work and dedication proved vital to the unit as I became an instructor and operations supervisor. I lead the team in day to day decisions, completing every mission safely, on time, and with the highest standard in customer satisfaction. It was rewarding and I am honored to have had the opportunity to fly with such amazing people. Following my service on active duty I transitioned to the Reserves where I was able to give back as an instructor in Air Force Pilot Training. I retired from the reserves with over 22 years of active and reserve duty and now serve as a pilot for United Airlines.
