Matthew ’s Expertise In May of 2023, I graduated Greenville University with a B.S. in Criminal Justice and Psychology. I believe I have proven my adaptability though my academic achievements and the amount of different activities I was involved in as a student. I would bring this same adaptability and drive to my employer. Here is some more information regarding my experiences as a student. During my senior year I was accepted into the internship program of two prominent law enforcement agencies. The first of these was the Illinois State Police in the summer of 2022 that lasted 240 hours. I also did an internship with the St. Louis County Police Department in the fall of 2022 for 170 hours. This allowed me to have over four hundred hours of internships, most of time involving actively being with law enforcement professionals. As a result of my internship being in one of the most dangerous cities in America, I was constantly put in situations where I was under immense stress and pressure while on patrol with officers. I believe this shows incredible proof of my ability to keep calm under the potential stress of my future career. As far as academic accomplishments, I have been able to complete two undergraduate psychology research studies. As a result of that experience, I have learned the American Psychological Association's Ethical Principles, completed Greenville University's Institutional Review Board certification process, and learned how to statistically analyze my experiment's results through IBM's SPSS software. Additionally, I have composed in-depth reviews of topics like the United States War on Drugs, which I believe proves my research and analytical abilities. Lastly, I was also deeply involved in other aspects of student life. I worked several jobs, most notably as a statistics teacher's assistant and for the president's office. I was the chapter president for Alpha Phi Sigma (Criminal Justice Honors Society), a member of Psi Chi (Psychology honors society). I believe the most notable thing about my educational experience was the fact that I was constantly making myself seen and available, I pride myself on the fact I was the person students and faculty called on when they needed someone to help them.
