At the end of my apprenticeship I continued my studies to acheive a HNC in Aerospace engineering. During my employment with GE I have gained experience in all aspects of aircraft engine disassembly, inspection, repair, assembly and testing working on GE90 base and growth engines, Rolls Royce RB211, CFM56-5 and -7 and GP700 engines. My main role is at engine test where we build the engines up to a flight ready standard and perform a comprehensive test programe to ensure the safety and performance of the engine meets the correct standard. I am approved to perform boroscope inspections and boroblending Daily tasks include the correct use of engine manuals and imputting data into SAP. Working as a team or individually to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner. Ensuring a safe working environment whilst adheering to safety and quality standards. I feel I work really well as part of a team and can happily pick up the roll of team leader when required to do so. We work on a rolling supervisor roll, so when required, I would pick up the roll of shift supervisor to allocate the daily work tasks and ensure all jobs are completed correctly and in a timely manner. I am highly motivated to get my tasks completed as efficiently and safely as possible whilst always looking at ways to improve the process. I feel I can also work well individually when needed and can self motivate to ensure tasks are carried out in a timely manner. I am regarded as a good worker with a good work ethic by my peers. Outside of work I am married with a daughter and like spending time with my family outdoors, visiting new places and exploring new cultures. Georgia
