I don’t think I could have relied on others to complete the work as willingly as you did.” I’m almost impossible to embarrass, and my improv comedy training has taught me how to collaborate — I accept what others say and build upon it in a constructive way. I often use my sense of humor to lighten tensions and help clients or team-members get on board with new concepts. For example, as a senior at Western Michigan University I eased tension between the student groups who were planning our BFA exhibition. It was the first time my 19 peers and I were split up. Egos clashed and neither group could agree on anything. As leader of my group, I met with the other leader and proposed that we halve our separate teams and make them meet with each other. Consensus was reached and the exhibition was spectacular. I live for efficiency. When I arrived at Jell Creative, there was no consistent method for timekeeping. For a company that charges by the hour, timekeeping is paramount. The software I found saved our team countless hours and now the company could not function without it. There are a few things that I hold above all others. Inherently entwined with my love of sharing knowledge comes a thirst for it. I can’t sleep without watching at least some segment of a documentary. Lastly, I love sauces. Seriously, a large portion of my BFA thesis involved ketchup. The Logo Package
