Michael Finney’s Expertise Michael Finney is an award winning lighting and technical designer who has enjoyed a professional career of more than 25 years in the entertainment and themed architecture industries. He is currently the Director of Special Projects for Thinkwell Design & Production, an internationally recognized entertainment design firm based in Los Angeles. He has designed and built projects in more than 8 countries from Asia to Europe to the Americas, and his work has spanned the range from traditional theatre to rock and roll tours, from historic buildings to Seuss Landing at Universal Islands of Adventure, and from a touring Sesame Street museum tour to the pre-game and post-game spectacles for the Super Bowl. He has most recently completed lighting design (and facility construction management) for Warner Bros Studios Leavesden – The Making of Harry Potter with Thinkwell. His lighting and technical design work has been featured in 5 separate projects to have received the TEA's Thea Award for Excellence in Attraction Design.
