During my tenure, I have held the positions of classification, commissary, inmate medical billing, and correctional training coordinator. While in the Training Division I actively researched, wrote, and awarded grants that increased the training of the officers at the Sheriff's Office, and brought new equipment and technologies to improve operations. I have been fortunate enough to be elected by my peers as their Union President for over 17 years of my career. On my away time from work I am a committed member to my community, serving on several boards in both Erie and Monroe County. I also serve as the Executive Director of the Deputy Sheriff's Association of Michigan. I also serve on two State of Michigan Boards, The Michigan Sheriffs Coordinating and Training Council and the Advisory Board to the Sheriff's Training Council. In my leisure time I enjoy spending time with my family traveling, reading, and many outdoor activities. I have completed my BA in Business Administration from Columbia Southern University, and my Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership/Public Administration form Waldorf University.
