Since arriving in New Mexico in 2004, Michael has mentored two high school students at Albuquerque’s South Valley Academy and a student from one of his political science courses who recently received a Masters Degree in Education at Harvard University and now serves as an advisor to Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller. He is also the host of the KUNM Global Music Show on the first Monday of every month. He received a BA in English from Santa Clara University, an MA in International Relations from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas and a PhD in Political Science from the University of New Orleans.
