I have worked for clients as diverse as Government Departments, NHS trusts, local authorities, Rail Infrastructure owners, overseas investors, independent health providers and manufacturers, UK and Project Finance Banks and Project Sponsors. From 1996 to 2018 I headed up AGs Projects team and was responsible for ensuring that the huge amount of experience our team has is shared across the practice and our clients receive excellent service and commercial, pragmatic advice. From 2018 to 2021 I was Head of AGs Manchester Office. My interests cover a wide range of sectors, most notably: - Health, especially Transactional Healthcare, mergers and acquisitions, commercialisations, outsourcings, joint ventures, turnarounds; -Rail, particularly New Lines, new rail infrastructure, procurements and regulation; -Regeneration and FDI with particular emphasis on those in and around the Manchester City Region. My specialities are infrastructure, procurement, competition (especially in Healthcare), subsidy control and procurement, Government contracts, Rail, Health, Regeneration, Schools, Energy from Waste, PFI, PPP,P3, infra funds, Renewable Projects, joint ventures, grant funding and loans. What am I working on right now? Establishing alternative delivery structures for NHS Trusts, mergers of public bodies, advising Central Government on outsourcing schemes, regeneration schemes in Bury, PFI handback on Motorway contracts, commercial deals for independent hospitals and the contractual terms for the Deposit Return Scheme for bottles.
