He was then appointed in 1997 as Managing Director of another Indonesian subsidiary, PT ALSTOM Distribution acquired by ALSTOM from AEG in 1996 Michel returned to France end of 1999 as Vice President of ALTOM T&D Distribution Business, in charge of the Marketing and Sales of the whole Distribution Products and Services portfolio, worldwide. Following the creation of the International Country & Sales Organization of ALSTOM T&D end of 2001, he was assigned a new mission in Asia as Country Chief Representative in Vietnam, located in Ho Chi Minh City. Begining of 2004 , following the acquisition of the T&D sector of ALSTOM by AREVA, he was assigned the position of General Manager of AREVA T&D Chinese Joint Venture , the Suzhou AREVA T&D Switchgear Co LTD , a position that he handled till beginning of 2007 . He was also the Site Manager of this brand new plant, employing over 600 people. Early in 2007, he returned to Vietnam, firstly as Country Sales Director and General Director of AREVA T&D Vietnam LTD Co and then as ALSTOM Vietnam Country President , a corporate position he handled till 2013. Michel was then appointed Managing Director of Alstom Grid transfomer unit in Canada and joined ABB in 2015 , firstly as Asia Pacific HUB Director for the Power Grid Automation Business based in Singapore and then as ABB Indonesia Country Managing Director and President Director of the local JV, PT ABB Sakti Industri- Carving out the ABB Power Grid business which was acquired by Hitachi in 2020, Michel created a new JV , PT Hitachi Sakti Energy Indonesia that he led as President Director and Hitachi Energy Country Managing Director till June 2022, date at which he decided to retire, ending 46 years of a great career.
