Mike Fleury’s Expertise A creative, passionate and dynamic storyteller, Mike is forever thinking about different ways to craft narrative – in fact, he even thought about it before writing this blurb. He is an experienced writer, editor, interviewer, director, researcher and communicator, he takes great pride in the ability to effectively deliver a compelling message to an audience. In his most recent role with Rogers Sports and Media, Mike produced award-winning short- and long-form features for Sportsnet, serving iconic platforms like Hockey Night in Canada. He also managed editorial priorities for large-scale broadcast properties, including Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada and the NHL Draft. His scripts have been voiced by Jon Hamm, Will Arnett, Eugene Levy and other iconic talent. Prior to that, Mike worked as a daily TV producer at the CBC with George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight (previously, The Hour). He also spent time behind the mic himself, anchoring and reporting in various roles with CBC Radio. Mike has enjoyed extensive time covering and writing about the Olympic Games: he served as a senior writer for CBC’s 2014 Olympic Games Broadcast in Sochi, and performed production and research duties prior to the 2012 Olympic Games in London, and the and 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver. Having started his career as an editor in print media, and having engaged with digital platforms at every stage of his professional journey, Mike understands the importance of creating effective content across all platforms – the ability to adapt, connect with an audience, and effectively communicate being at the core of everything he does. Mike was a print feature finalist for the Atlantic Journalism Awards. He is a two-time Canadian Screen Award winner, and a six-time nominee. He is a good listener, bad singer and very proud dad.
