In this role, I: • Provide strategic analysis to guide the development of the Report and related products; • Develop drafts of outlines, approaches, and contents for the Report; • Supervise the work of staff to support the development of the Report; • Coordinate the incorporation of feedback from partners, experts, and stakeholders; • Develop briefing materials for senior management and the Minister of Health; • Develop responses to action requests and reporting requirements; and • Support the Manager in strategic planning.Led policy strategies and initiatives addressing policy gaps in the ethics of health research and the regulation of emerging biomedical sciences and technologies, and advanced Canada’s engagement in international bioethics fora.Conducted research on areas where war crimes were suspected, e.g. the Philippines and Lebanon, locating sources of evidence to form a basis for police investigations, and liaised with researchers internationally, coordinating research efforts to locate documentary evidence on several hundred individual war crimes suspects.
