Mindy Heggen mheggen@iastate.edu & | During my time in the Office of the Registrar I have: • Collaborated with Learning Community Coordinators and College Administrators in order to set up course offerings, develop course planners, create high demand course distribution models, and offer support during orientation and the registration process. • Worked with and advised high school students, parents, and counselors in coordinating and registering students for Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) while abiding by the laws set forth by the State of Iowa and Iowa State University. • Gained extensive knowledge of Iowa State University Office of the Registrar rules and regulations regarding tuition and fee assessment, refunds, withdrawals, reentries to ISU, SSN changes, FERPA, residency and many others for daily processes. • Provided access to the special course fee system and ALEKS Math Placement exam. • Created and evaluated training sessions for on campus partners, Office of the Registrar Staff and student employees. In addition, my leadership skills and experience in training and motivating staff to work together as a team are widely respected. In each of my roles, I created training manuals and have been able to increase collaboration within the office after a difficult merge. I have proven my ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple high-priority tasks and to develop solutions to challenging problems. I am a self-starter who works efficiently and consistently exceeds expectations for deadlines.
