The other thing you might find me doing is coaching small groups, or working 1-on-1 with senior executives who want to improve their presentation, speaking and communication skills. In this current world of remote meetings and events, being able to deliver in a compelling and impactful way is more important than ever, and I love supporting business leaders who see the value in getting really skilled at this. I have been involved with the events and hospitality industry for my whole career – growing up working at my parents’ conference venue, managing a luxury boutique hotel in the Caribbean, setting up my own event management business and then running all of the corporate client events for one of the UK’s largest banks. I care deeply about the people and businesses working in this arena, and believe that however hard we’ve been impacted by the pandemic and the subsequent restrictions, that we absolutely will come out of this by supporting each other and collaborating in the brilliant way that we always do.
