This ardently led to my appointment to the Western Cape to head the re-engineering of the Labour Force Survey to the now Quarterly Labour Force Survey. This included setting up the office, recruitment, training and management of a staff complement of 6 district survey coordinators, 30 Survey Officer and 3 Quality Monitors. I also held a position of a Senior Administrative Officer (Department of Education in 2003) which exposed me to extensive project management as I had to facilitate the setting up of the Private Higher Education Institutions’ Registration Database. Also a stint as a Data Processing Supervisor during the Census 2001 exposed one to high paced and time driven project. In April 2014, I moved to the newly formed provincial quality management section as the Deputy Director: Quality and Training. This was followed by another lateral transfer to my current position of Deputy Director: Census Operations and Special Projects. This were I was involved with setting up the project structure and managing the Census 2022 project in the Western Cape.
