I always had interest in programming and used to think of using programming to solve the problems of Statistical Quality Control and Operation Research (which I came to know later is known as Data Science). In the last year of my study, I was recruited for a post of Software Engineer. As I was being trained on various technologies, I liked working with data. I started taking difficult tasks and project work of my mentors. With the mindset that every task that is repeated at some frequency should be automated, I also started automating various manual processes. At the time I got to work on Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS and Informatica. I was lucky enough to get various opportunities to develop and later design complex frameworks for managing data and I made sure to grab them. The more I worked on it the more I learned about the limitations of conventional database management systems. I quickly learned Hadoop, Apache Spark, Sqoop and Hive along with many other open source technologies which can deal with high amount of data. In my spare time I try to learn new concepts of data science as well as Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence. I try my best to visualize and plan implementation of various data science concepts for real life scenarios. Amazon
