As Deaf-Hearing Communication Centre's Executive Director since 2013, I am privileged to be part of an amazing team of committed professionals making a difference for Deaf, hard of hearing and DeafBlind individuals in the Philadelphia region. Our revenue increased from 4 million/year to 6 million/year before COVID. Through COVID, we were able to prioritize our operations to maintain seamless performance even though we had over 75% reduction in revenue. We also created an amazing fundraising and grants program that within the past 4 years, going from 5,000 per year in contributed income to over 460,000. Our team grew from a skeleton staff of 9 to our current 15 staff members. We also manage a cadre of 200 independent contractors to get our work done.
