Instead, my journey began with a job at Barclays Bank in the foreign exchange department. I was always very passionate about business and finance, and this was the perfect opportunity for me to learn. In my childhood home, business was one of the most talked about topics around the dinner table, it was a great opportunity to learn the skills and values of running a business. Furthermore, I was able to build relationships with customers that would ensure long-term success for the business. Years later, I started my own business, Extraordinary Events, with a toddler in tow. Despite the challenges and obstacles that came my way, I was determined to make it work and prove to all those who told me that I was crazy. At first, I was a little scared that no one would want to work with me, but soon enough, we won our first client. It was an award gala dinner for 600 guests for women in business. I had no idea how to organise such a large event, but I was determined to make it happen. With the help of my husband, we developed an events methodology which broke down the stages of an event. This became our cornerstone to ensure that we would never miss a beat. Today, this has become the foundation of our online event management course (7StEMM). From the get-go, we have been organising a wide range of events as well as a number of large-scale events for many Bluechip clients, and have built up an impressive portfolio. With our expertise in event management, we are well-equipped to handle any challenge that comes our way. I'm passionate about events and the industry.
