Through his academic and industry positions, Noel has accumulated experience in building cohesive teams, industry engagement, managing change, strategy development, corporate venturing, the commercialisation process, quality assurance (including ISO 9001 and ISO 44001), and risk management. From a learning & teaching perspective, he is interested in enhancing the student experience through experiential learning, and using online and blended learning formats, including MOOCs (having produced three MOOCs-one with over 500,000 enrolments). From a research perspective, Noel is interested in both business and social innovation and entrepreneurship. He has a particular interest in how entrepreneurship can assist in creating value and impact in communities, particularly where there exists social and/or economic disadvantage, as well as how entrepreneurship can assist those who are neuro-diverse to better integrate into society. Noel holds a BCom (Hons) & PhD, is a Member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners, a Member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand, and a Fellow of CPA Australia.
