  Following my appointment as a Lecturer and Researcher in the Environmental Health Unit at the University of Zambia, I have an opportunity to not only teach but also conduct research in various environmental health disciplines. I have demonstrated competence and experience in Environmental Exposure Science, Environmental Toxicology, Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Monitoring, Risk Analysis, Management of Pesticides and other Chemicals and lastly but not the least Climate Change and it's interations with environmental and human Health. In addition to my teaching duties, I mentor and supervise postgraduate and undergraduate students undertaking their research projects. I also plan and accompany students during their industrial attachment to various facilities to ensure that their final reports are presented in a suitable and appropriate technical and professional manner. I have participated and developed curricular for several courses in the School of Public Health in line with our strategic vision. I have developed a very strong interest in Exposure Science particularly for environmental systems and biological matrices. My PhD exposed me to this science since I developed and validated methods for quantifying DDT in water and soils using samples obtained from various sources around selected communities in Zambia. I am therefore very ready to conduct more research in this area and broaden the contaminants to be measured to include more pesticides, pharmaceuticals and micro-plastics among others.
