My passion stems from my appreciation of our finite, beautiful planet as well as the astounding potential of our species for engineering achievements. My graduate work at Oak Ridge National Laboratory helped advance the capabilities of cast aluminum alloys through experimental study and computational modeling. I now work at GE research developing coatings to protect components in jet engines and power plants (nuclear, biomass, fossil) from harsh environments. My career objective is to continue research and development of coatings, alloys, and composites capable of withstanding extreme conditions such as load, temperature, and radiation damage.
