In addition to teaching, I have coached a variety of interscholastic sports and spent seven years as athletic director of a small Christian school. My teaching career started in a private school, where I taught for five years before taking five years off to start my family. I then spent eight years in public education followed by eight more years back in private education. Five years ago, I moved back into the public sector where I spent a year teaching physics.
